 The goals for the college are:

  • Develop a learner centered curriculum that integrates the Catholic Marian Guiding Principles;
  • Help prepare education professionals recognized for the quality and significance of their teaching, research, scholarship, service, outreach, and leadership;
  • Provide widely recognized leadership in the improvement of teaching, learning, and the assessment of educational outcomes across the life span through research, scholarship, and technology;
  • Enhance the commitment of faculty, staff, and students to the importance of diversity, social justice, and democratic citizenship;
  • Provide leadership in the development of collaborative, professional relationships with schools, organizations, and other institutions focused on the improvement of education in schools, communities, and workplace settings;
  • Sustain a caring and supportive climate in the college by promoting professional relationship between faculty and students to enhance academic, personal and career development; 
  • Enhance the effective and efficient management of the College;
  • Involve every member of the community in the implementation of its community service program anchored on Catholic Marian values.


      The College of Teacher Education aims to develop professionally competent teachers who are able to think and perform the following:

  2. Effective conveyors of organized knowledge developed from human experience;
  3. Efficient promoters and facilitators of learning that will enable the learners to develop to the fullest of their potentials for a continuing pursuit of education;
